Police seized 19 government vehicles that were driven in Rupandehi on public holidays.


With the arrival of Bharatmani Pandey as the chief district officer in the leadership of the district, action has been taken in the government vehicle after a long interval. Under the leadership of Prazia and Police Chief Rabindra Regmi, the vehicles that were operated on public holidays contrary to government policy were seized by the Rupandehi police.


 The District Police Office Rupandehi and its subordinates seized the vehicles from various places in the district while implementing the instructions of the Ministry of Home Affairs that public agencies should not operate office vehicles on public holidays.


After finding that vehicles with government number plates were being driven without a pass within the district, we conducted checks at various places. Navratna Poudel, spokesperson of District Police Office Rupandehi informed that 19 two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles were kept on hold. Spokesperson Paudel said that they were first alerted and henceforth they were requested to run on public holidays only after obtaining a pass from the relevant office or official.


According to the decision of the Government of Nepal Council of Ministers, there is a rule that on public holidays, government vehicles other than the passes issued by the administration office cannot be operated.
